Supplies are headed to HOUSTON

We are very proud and humbled to announce that Hillis Elementary has received enough school supplies to fill 24 BOXES!!! The families in the Hillis community have been extremely generous with all of their thoughtful donations. We were even able to send some fresh Iowa sweet corn to our friends in Houston, Texas. Today after school, the drivers will head on down to Oklahoma City, Oklahoma (8 hours and 542 miles from Hillis Elementary) for the night. Then, drive down to Houston,  (6 hours South and 446 miles from Oklahoma City, Oklahoma) on Saturday. The drop off location for all of the Great City schools is at Delmar Stadium in Houston. The donations should make their way to Delmar Stadium by Saturday, September 9 at around 2pm. The total trip to Houston, Texas is 14 hours or 988 miles from Hillis Elementary! Thank you for all of your generosity in helping to “FILL UP THE TRUCK!”
