Sick day and other missed days

Parents can call 515-242-8412 or send a text or email to hillis@dmschools.org if their child is sick or has another attendance issue. When notifying of an attendance issue, please include your student’s name, your name, your student’s teacher & why they are absent or going to be tardy. We also strongly encourage you to bring in a Doctor’s note for appointments or absences to be excused.

If your child is sick, they need to be vomit free and fever free (without medication) for 24 hours before they return to school.
